Monterey Car Week, The Auctions

Three of the five auctions have posted their results. Although I still think this won't be a record year so far the results are impressive. Stay tuned.

8/18/2021 - Hemmings reports that the overall sales reached $321,000,000, not a record but darn good. I've updated the individual auction results based on information from Hemmings.

In the past I have posted each auction separately. This year I've decided to lump them all together.

It seemed to me that there just weren't as many cars being offered as in the past with the possible exception of Mecum who said they had 600 cars.

Besides the fields seeming a little thin the variety of cars wasn't as great as in the past. There were plenty of Jags, Porsches, and Ferraris though.

I doubt that any sales records will be broken this year. But what the heck, they are back!

The auctions are listed in the order I visited them.
