Hillsborough Concours d’Elegance
Hillsborough,
Calif., February 22, 2013 – The historic and prestigious Hillsborough Concours
d’Elegance, longest continually running concours in the world, celebrates its 57th edition on
Saturday, July 21, 2013 on the expansive greens at Crystal
Springs Golf Course in Burlingame, CA.
In announcing new
dates for the 2013 event, Concours Chairman Rob Fisher said, “We’ve moved our
showing forward in the calendar to allow enthusiasts and entrants alike to
avoid conflicts with other automotive events traditionally scheduled in the
late summer and early fall.”
“With our move to
July, our attendees and entrants can count on perfect weather and gourmet food
and drink while savoring the finest display of vintage, classic and rare
automobiles that reflect our continuing dedication to excellence in automotive
design and engineering.”
Fisher also
reported that the 2012 Hillsborough Concours d’Elegance generated $100,000 for
its charity beneficiaries, which include Autism Speaks, North America’s largest
autism science and advisory organization, the 49ers Foundation, which provides
extensive support for at-risk youth in the Bay Area and the Hillsborough
Schools Foundation, providing support four public schools in Hillsborough.
