SEMA - A preview

Went to SEMA this afternoon for a preview tour, it being my first time ever. All I can really say is Oh My Gawd! The Las Vegas Convention Center is HUGE! There are three "halls," North, Center, and South.

Some quick stats - There are about 2,100 exhibitors, and 60,000 buyers (don't forget this is a trade show). The LV Convention Center has 3.2 million square feet of display space.

The North Hall is devoted to industry - Restyling & Car Care, Business Services, Mobile Electronics & Technology, Collision Repair & Refinishing, and Tools & Equipment.

The Center Hall is devoted to what I would call the good stuff - Racing & Performance, Hot Rod Alley, and Restoration Marketplace.

South Hall has two floors. Upstairs are Trucks, SUVs & Off-Road, First Time & Featured Exhibitors, Ideas Alive: New Products, and Powersports & Utility Vehicles. Downstairs is the Global Tire Expo, and Wheels & Accessories.

There are also all kinds of displays outside of the halls.

I'm going to start early tomorrow. I'm planning on three days - Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday - and that should allow me to see just about everything I want to see - if my feet hold out.
