2010 Nissan Rogue

Unlike a certain politician who is "Going Rogue," I have the greatest respect for the Nissan Rogue. The Rogue is one of those vehicles that comes along every now and then that is greater than the sum of its parts.

If you are looking for a vehicle that will seat four comfortably, five in a pinch, has ample cargo room even with the rear seats in use, gets good fuel economy (up to 27 highway, a figure that is easily replicated), is easy to park, and isn't too expensive (starts at $20,340 and tops out at $23,940).

The Rogue is powered by a 170 hp, 2.5-liter four-cylinder and the only transmission available is a CVT. I am finally getting used to shiftless transmissions. The base Rogue is FWD only and AWD is available.

The Rogue is the kind of car that doesn't turn heads but once you drive one it will be at the top of your list.
