Ain't Too Proud to Beg

Okay now that I have your attention ...

The Monterey Week is getting close. The week of August 14th through the 21st (more or less) is coming up fast. And I will be making my annual pilgrimage to one of the most beautiful areas in the world. The scenery is only the backdrop for some of the greatest cars on this planet.

Every year since just about forever I have gone to the Rolex Motorsports Reunion, Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, Concorso Italiano, Concours on the Avenue, Automobilia Monterey, every auction, so many other car shows and just about every car event I can cram in.

Sometimes I get invited to media events. But not so much recently. Maybe it's because they've forgotten me? That brief (four year) stopover in North Las Vegas? Well I'm back. I have a column in the Tracy (CA) Press. I'm open for invitations. I want to see new model reveals, meet some VIPs, you know, all the stuff that the week is known for.

So yes, I'm not too proud to beg.
