The Marin Sonoma Concours d'Elegance and the Sonoma Historic Motorsports Festival partner to form the Wine Country Classics

San Rafael, Calif. (April  10, 2013) - Sonoma Raceway and the Marin Sonoma Concours d’Elegance have teamed up to bring car enthusiasts a complete weekend of historic motorsports and classic cars.  Car enthusiasts will enjoy car-centric activities in multiple North Bay venues as the Sonoma Historic Motorsports Festival at Sonoma Raceway and the Marin Sonoma Concours d'Elegance share the stage during the Wine Country Classics weekend, May 18-19.

The Historics, which will honor Corvette as its featured marque, will host nearly 400 historic machines on the twisting road course both Saturday and Sunday, as well as the popular Wine Country Pavilion, with samples of fine food and wine from the Sonoma and Napa valleys. The Marin Sonoma Concours d’Elegance held at the Marin Civic Center, just 15 miles from Sonoma Raceway, will feature vintage automobiles owned by Hollywood Legends, including Elizabeth Taylor’s 1960 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud ll Drop Head Coupe, Jean Harlow's 1932 Packard Phaeton and Mae West’s 1934 Duesenberg J-370.  The Concours will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Lamborghini and will also feature vintage Italian motorcycles, Wood cars and station wagons and a vintage camper and trailer display.
