HAPPY NEW YEAR!
The new year is but a few scant hours away. The year past has had its ups and downs for sure but as Tom Rush wrote, "no regrets, no tears goodbye ..." And as the saying goes, another year on this side of the dirt is a good year.
I am looking forward to 2011. I'm entering a new chapter in my life. The auto industry seems to be on a steady climb out of the abyss it - and the rest of the country - fell into. We can sit in our funk over our lot in life or we can rejoice in those things that brighten even the darkest days; I choose to look ahead.
The new year shows great promise for those of us who revel in all things automotive. Around every corner is a new (or undiscovered old) machine to get the blood flowing. If you are one of those who can't wait for the next project, it is out there.
I'm champing at the bit for the next car show, the next get together with my fellow gear heads. I hope I spy that '32 Lincoln KB Coupe like the one my dad owned for a few short years back in the '50s. I want my picture taken with it and hopefully a nice example of a Hotchkiss automobile.
My best wishes to everyone out there, may the coming year bring everyone peace and at least one smile every day.
